At the 2011 Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America, BIRT Postdoctoral Fellow Cleo Maehara presented a talk that highlighted his exciting work. The event, which took place between November 27 and December 2 in Chicago, is just one of the many conferences that BIRT fellows choose to attend.

Cleo's talk, entitled "HCC screening in Hepatitis C Virus infected patients: Assessment of screening and adherence to AASLD guidelines", discussed Cleo's study in which his team assessed hepatocellular carcinoma screening patterns before and after the publication of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases evidence-based guidelines.
