BIRT Fellow, Ichiro Ikuta, To Give Presentation, Lecture, and Demonstration at SIIM 2012

BIRT Postdoctoral Fellow, Ichiro Ikuta, will be showcasing his exciting work at this years' Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida from June 7-10. In addition to a scientific research presention, Ichiro will be giving a lecture as well as providing an Open Source PlugFest Demonstration.

Ichiro's scientific research presention, entitled "Automated Body Size Extraction Using Axial CT Images to Calculate Water-Equivalent Diameter", will include an in-depth discussion of his hypothesis that "Patient body size can be automatically extracted from axial CT images by calculating a water-equivalent diameter".
