Latrice Landry Attends Health Disparities Conferences

With a dedication to furthering the understanding of precision medicine, minority health, and health disparities, Dr. Landry, a second year BIRT fellow, attended several conferences in the fall. These conferences provided a unique opportunity for capacity building and networking in this interdisciplinary area. Dr. Landry is currently exploring ways to translate this into her research. 

September 2015: The Why We Can't Wait: Conference to Eliminate Health Disparities in Genomic Medicine The role of policy in Washington DC. 

October 2015: The Clinical Sequencing Exploratory Research Consortium Meeting.

October 2015: The Institute of Medicine Special Interest Group Meeting and Annual Meeting on The World Within:The  Human Microbiome in Health and Disease

December 2015: The National Minority Health and Health Disparities Grantees Conference.
