Yonas Tamrat, a BIRT postdoctoral fellow, presented two posters at this years 2011 AMIA Annual Symposium.

BIRT Postdoctoral Fellow Sheida Nabavi presented a poster at HGV2011, which took place from September 8-10 in Berkeley, California. Her poster, entitled " Comparative Analysis of Copy Number Variation Detection Methods Using Next Generation Sequencing", highlights her work in which she analyzed and compared the performance of six publicly available copy number variation (CNV) detection tools using nine breast cancer next generation sequencing (NGS) data sets and simulated data sets.

Dr. Josh Mandel presented his lecture "SMArt Architecture:  Enabling Substitutable Medical Applications" on Thursday, April 21 at 4:00 pm in the CBMI classroom (Countway 403).

Dr. Danny Sands presented his lecture  "Beyond the Pager: Communication and Collaboration Technology in Healthcare" on Thursday, March 24 at 4:00 pm in the CBMI classroom (Countway Library, room 403).  Dr. Sands is the Senior Clinical Informatics Director for Cisco Internet Business Solutions Group and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
