My research interest in general is to use large sets of structured data for knowledge discovery. I can envision applying this technique at the individual level, to summarize records when a patient transitions from one hospital to another, or at the population level, for hypothesis generation or construction of models that predict adverse events. In my current project, I analyze patterns of adherence to chronic medications at the population level, as patients transition from childhood to adulthood. I am a practicing general internist, mainly in the outpatient urgent care setting.
