In my time working at two labs I have gained a repertoire of skills which I hope to expand while exploring computational and quantitative methods as data for biological and medical research become larger and more complex. At the Weiss Lab at MIT, I independently investigated disease characteristics and designed diagnosis modules based on the results. Using molecular methods, I assembled the construct and tested them in transfected mammalian cells. Following that, I was able to expand my experience under George Church during which time I prepared CRISPR and NGS samples. I was also introduced to processing of large biological data with UNIX shell scripting and R.
