I study emerging technologies such as natural language processing to predict clinical outcomes using high-dimensional statistical analysis and machine learning. I also have an interest in mobile and wearable technologies. My research goals for the future include the development of algorithms and pipelines that allow physicians to take findings from high-dimensional data from the bench to the bedside. I joined the MMSc program because of the broad training in the different domains of biomedical informatics. Much of the methods I have applied to clinical informatics were borne out of bioinformatics.
